MultiKultur@ has created a knowledge bank of culturally based themed units arranged in three Languages under six subjects.

Language can be about getting from one place to another, but what do you do when you get there?

These materials have been created with the idea of exploring cross disciplinary subjects, delving into student's other interests such as science and technology, history, art and culture, sport and leisure, literature and geography and society. Immersing and engaging interest in shared fields of study answering such questions as:

  • What good is studying French to a science major?
  • I am supposed to write a letter about my pet, but I don't have a pet. What do I write about?
  • Surely there is more to literature than Le Petit Prince and Emil und die Detektive?

Using the National Curriculum as the core, materials have been set at three levels:

  • Level One - Pre GCSE
  • Level Two - GCSE
  • Level Three - A/AS Level

Levels are colour coded throughout for clear navigation. Access is not restricted to one level or language. The point of this project is Aspiration. Students can click between levels exploring different Themes encouraging them to increase their knowledge and language skills by exposing them to stimulating material that inspires and engages their interest.
